What’s new in GAA Pitch, week by week, newest first. Some weeks are busier than others.

  1. Week of 10 August 2026

    • Copy a saved session. Take the session you ran last month, name the copy, and change the one thing you wanted different, with the original left as it was. The blocks, the pitch setup and any per-session drill edits all come across.

    Fixes

    • The saved sessions list no longer squeezes the session name into a sliver on a phone.
    • Club directory refresh for Mayo: websites and socials filled in, and Killala's colours corrected.

  2. Week of 3 August 2026

    • Picking a drill for a session now shows the whole drill: equipment, coaching points, variations and the video link, with the same search and skill-tag filtering as the drill library.
    • Create a drill by hand as well as with AI, for when you already know the drill you want.
    • Ladies football joins the sport picker alongside camogie, with a 30 minute preset and any custom session length.
    • Support email and Instagram links across the site.

    Fixes

    • The text boxes in the drill editor are usable on a phone.
    • The session length field can be cleared while you type instead of snapping back.
    • Skill-tag chips stay on one row on a phone rather than filling the screen.
    • Fixed a problem when undoing a change in the diagram editor.
    • Club directory refresh for Wicklow, Waterford and Tipperary: dead websites replaced, emails and socials filled in.

  3. Week of 20 July 2026

    • Edit a drill inside a single session. Change its name, coaching points, equipment, skill tags and variations for that session only, leaving the catalogue drill and your other sessions untouched. A Coach feature.
    • Turn a free-text block into a real drill with Convert to drill, and put a free-text block on the pitch as its own station.
    • Drills can carry a link to a video.
    • Much fuller docs, with screenshots and a single nav across every page.

    Fixes

    • Notes on a free-text block now appear in the share preview and the exported sheet.
    • The club directory renders for search engines instead of looking like an empty page.

  4. Week of 13 July 2026

    Fixes

    • Club IDs are now namespaced by county, fixing a clash where two clubs of the same name in different counties could overwrite each other.
    • Club directory data refresh.

  5. Week of 6 July 2026

    • The AI drill creator opens up to Coach subscribers: describe the drill you want, get drafts back, edit one and save it to your own library.
    • Drill diagrams are hand-editable. Drag players, cones and arrows to lay out exactly what you run.
    • Full-screen diagram editing, with touch dragging on phones and tablets.
    • A per-user allowance for AI drill generation, so you can see what you have left.

    Fixes

    • The full-screen editor fits on small and short screens.
    • Drills you save now appear in your library straight away.

  6. Week of 29 June 2026

    • Public share links for sessions. Send a link to your selectors or the team WhatsApp group and it opens for anyone, with no account needed.
    • Shared links unfurl with the real pitch layout on the preview card.
    • A download button on the public share page, so anyone you share with can save the sheet.
    • Home page galleries swipe on touch devices.

    Fixes

    • Club directory updated, with locations added.

  7. Week of 22 June 2026

    • Redesigned home page, and the first set of docs.
    • Club crests appear across the app once you have picked your club.
    • Drills and clubs moved into the main app instead of sitting behind a separate admin area.

    Fixes

    • Club colours are applied more consistently across the app.

  8. Week of 15 June 2026

    • Soft launch. GAA Pitch opened to its first coaches through the waitlist.
    • Pitch layout: see a session as stations on a pitch, with a rotation between them.
    • Free-text blocks, so a warm-up, a match or anything else sits alongside the drills.
    • Drill difficulty tiers replace the old age filter, so every drill stays pickable.
    • Even out a session's timings across blocks, with the option to lock the ones you want left alone.
    • The free plan keeps up to five saved sessions, plus privacy and terms pages.

    Fixes

    • Drill editor equipment tags, and the pitch layout at one station per row.
